Mike Detrick is a native of Wichita Falls. He is the son of the late Mary Ann Detrick Marecek and Bill J. Detrick. He is a product of the Wichita Falls Independent School District and a 1984 cum laude graduate of Midwestern State University. Mike has lived in Wichita Falls all of his life. He and his wife Melissa married in 1984. They have been blessed with two beautiful children.

Mike Detrick negotiated and closed numerous real estate transactions for his employer before becoming licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission in 1995 to handle real estate transactions for the public. Mike received his realestate broker’s license in 1997. In 2003 through Mike’s leadership and vision for the future of Nortex Realty, a deal was made to acquire Key Realty of Wichita Falls thereby associating his business with several other top producing agents. His knowledge of the Wichita Falls residential market combined with his extensive background in commercial and farm/ranch transactions distinguishes Mike as an outstanding “working” real estate broker in Wichita Falls and the surrounding North Texas Counties.

Mike feels strongly that his customers receive the highest level of service and professional counsel. He endorses a “team approach” for Nortex Realty to insure that all clients are receiving the same level of service. Mike knows that a team of Realtors working together can accomplish more than a single agent. The value proposition of the “team approach” is significant to the client.

Mike loves Wichita Falls and believes strongly in giving back to the community and his profession. Mike enjoys affiliation with a number of civic and professional organizations. Mike is a past president (1994) of Wichita Falls Crime Stoppers, Inc. Mike also has served two terms as a director for the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers (formerly North Texas Oil & Gas Association). Mike earned the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout as a young man and proudly now serves on the Executive Board of the Northwest Texas Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He was honored by his fellow Realtors in 2003 with the Distinguished Service Award. Mike is a Past President for the Wichita Falls Association of Realtors and was honored twice as the Realtor of the Year in 2005 and 2013. He is also very active with the Texas Association of Realtors and the Texas Real Estata Political Action Committee – one of the most powerful lobbies in the State of Texas. He served at the statewide chairman of TREPAC in 2013 and lead PAC investments to a record of $3.6M. TREPAC’s purpose is to protect private property rights in Texas.
